As a volunteer teacher of Summit Education Society we have planned some activities with other volunteer teachers for our students.
First of all, I would like to express to you during the pandemic people had to stay at their home in the safe. By the way, people particularly students were getting bored at home because of that we made a meeting among our volunteer teachers then we made decisions about some activities such quiz competitions, reading books, Kahoot Competitions, chatting with students, Game 24 tournament among the Year 5s, Year 6s, and Year 7s. As you know we have a growing number of students of Summit Education Society at the moment. Our students’ family are generally asylum seekers – refugees and others.
The during of the Christmas Holiday over the sixty students joined to the activities with their families. They have enjoyed all programmes and activities. And then we have taken some feedback from students and their families. Almost all students have finished their storybooks which they read during the programme.
At the end of the programme, we prepared certificates for all students who attended competitions and other activities.
With the certificates, we have given to students some variety of gifts such as toys, smartwatches, headphones etc.
As a result, I would like to thank all our students and their families. Because we enjoyed the activities with them. We have started our online lessons which are including our schedule and timetable.
