At our weekend school, we had a beneficial and helpful fire intervention session via Prevention Education Instructor Roberta McIntosh from Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Bury Safety Centre department.
Roberta explained to students what firefighters do and how they work. Students were enthusiastic and they asked many questions. They tested a smoke alarm as well. After the session in the classroom, a fire engine came with the crew from Ashton-under-Lyne Red Watch. The fire engine crew introduced the fire engine and equipment to the students. They answered students' questions. It was a lovely and exciting event. Many thanks to Roberta McIntosh and Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service.
